I am a huge believer in giving back and helping out in the community and the world. Think globally, act locally I suppose. I believe that the measure of a person's life is the affect they have on others.

Our goal is to address some of the most pressing issues facing Canada today, including:

• Gun Violence Prevention: Advocating for safer communities and working toward reducing gun violence through education, legislation, and support for survivors.

• Autism Support: Raising awareness and providing resources to individuals and families affected by autism, ensuring access to education, healthcare, and social integration.

• Blood shortage in Canada: Canadian Blood services has indicated they need one million new blood and plasma donors across Canada within the next five years. It is anticipated there will be a 10 percent increase in the demand for blood due to a growing and aging population. The demand for plasma, used to make immunoglobulin drugs, is projected to grow by at least 50 percent. Underrepresented groups like African, Black, or Caribbean Canadians are in high demand to better match blood products with patient needs (e.g., for sickle cell disease).

• Education: Creating opportunities for at-risk youth to access quality education and mentorship, helping to break the cycle of poverty and provide hope for a brighter future.

• Canada's Mental Health: The Federal government has allocated $7.5 million over three years to support Kids Help Phone, ensuring 24/7 access to bilingual mental health support for youth across Canada. Children's mental health in Canada is a growing concern. By age 25, 1 in 5 Canadians are diagnosed with a mental illness, with 70% experiencing symptoms before age 18.  A Statistics Canada survey found that the percentage of youth rating their mental health as "fair" or "poor" more than doubled from 12% in 2019 to 26% in 2023.  

The funds we raise will directly support these initiatives, whether it’s funding advocacy campaigns, educational materials, or direct aid programs.
